Frequently Asked Questions

The app shows no channels. What should I check? IPTV J needs a playlist to work. Go to Settings → Playlists and add your M3U link, M3U file, or Xtream login provided by your IPTV service. If channels still don't load, your provider's server may be temporarily down — the app keeps your cached channels so browsing still works.

A stream won't play. Try switching the player engine in the player's settings menu (⋯ button). Different streams work best with different engines. If no engine can play it, the stream format may not be supported on Apple devices or the source may be offline.

How does sync work? Do I need an account? There are no accounts. Playlists, favorites, watch history, continue-watching positions, and preferences sync automatically through iCloud between devices signed into the same Apple Account. Turn it on or off in Settings → iCloud Sync.

What does Premium include? Unlimited watching time, unlimited playlists, Picture in Picture, subtitle customization, AI subtitle translation, and full sports match visibility. Free plan includes 1 playlist and a daily watching-time allowance.

How do I restore my purchase? Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases on any device signed into the same Apple Account.

How do I cancel my subscription? Subscriptions are managed by Apple: iPhone/iPad Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or App Store → account → Subscriptions.

What is AI subtitle translation? A Premium feature that translates subtitles of the video you're watching into your chosen language in four modes (Standard, Natural, Literal, Learning). Translations are cached so the same content is never translated twice.

Why do some movies/series have posters and info? IPTV J matches titles in your playlist against public metadata (TMDB) to show posters, genres, and curated sections. This is automatic and can be a Premium-limited feature on the free plan.
